Important game to mention about took place in Muenchen. Fourth ranked FC Bayern II (4-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Giants (2-4) 80-78 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. FC Bayern II made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Austria forward Marvin Ogunsipe (204-96) who scored 16 points. Guard Georg Beyschlag (182-97) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. FC Bayern II's coach Oliver Kostic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Terence Smith (193-91, college: Mississippi) who recorded 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and center Adrian Lind (204-94) added 21 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FC Bayern II moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Elchingen. Loser Giants keep the ninth position with four games lost. FC Bayern II will face Fraport Skyliners II (#9) in Frankfurt in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Giants will play at home against BG Karlsruhe and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
