The game in Graz was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Arkadia Lions (4-2) played at the court of 6th ranked UBSC Graz (2-4). Arkadia Lions did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 73-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Arkadia Lions. UBSC Graz managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Arkadia Lions outrebounded UBSC Graz 48-30 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized American Jason Detrick (195-80, college: Oklahoma, agency: Three Eye Sports) fired 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Anton Maresch (191-91) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Cameron Naylor (201-94, college: Texas St.) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Arkadia Lions moved-up to second place, which they share with Oberwart and Gmunden. Loser UBSC Graz dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Kapfenberg. Arkadia Lions will meet at home league's leader Raiffeisen Wels in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play against Gmunden Swans (#4) in Gmunden and hope to secure a win.
