Regular Season Round 9: ETB Wohnbau - Ehingen 66-78

Bottom-ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of four consecutive losses. This time newly promoted Ehingen/Urspringschule won against thirteenth-ranked ETB Wohnbau in Essen 78-66. Ehingen/Urspringschule brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists for the winning side and forward Daniel Berger (203-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach Domenik Reinboth allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) came up with 26 points and forward Eric Thompson (203-93, college: Pacific) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for ETB Wohnbau in the defeat. Ehingen/Urspringschule (2-7) moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with defeated ETB Wohnbau. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against higher ranked White Wings (#5) in Hanau in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ETB Wohnbau will play on the road against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
