Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Tuebingen II (3-5) defeated at home 13th ranked Heidelberg USC (1-7) 74-64 on Sunday. Guard Max Kochendoerfer (192-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Albania forward Vildan Mitku (200-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Tuebingen II's coach Claus Sieghoertner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Constantin Schmitt (200-97) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Morris Hintz (193-95) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Heidelberg USC. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tuebingen II moved-up to ninth place in South-West, which they share with Saarlouis/Dillingen. Loser Heidelberg USC dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Tuebingen II will face higher ranked Koblenz (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
