TBL top team - Sakarya BSB (7-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Gelisim (3-5) in Sakaraya 106-63. Sakarya BSB made 20-of-23 charity shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Sakarya BSB outrebounded Gelisim 38-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Sakarya BSB players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Gelisim's players. The winners were led by American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) supported him with 9 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by forward Murat Erensoy (201-91) did not help to save the game for Gelisim. Huseyin Akin Kandemir (-95) added 14 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakarya BSB have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Istanbulspor and Eskisehir Basket. Gelisim lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Yalova Bld and Bandirma Kir.. Sakarya BSB will play against Samsun (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Gelisim will play against Akhisar Bld (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
