Regular Season Round 9: SISU - Svendborg 78-72

Date: November 17, 2016
The game between third ranked Svendborg (5-4) and seventh ranked SISU (2-6) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Svendborg was defeated by SISU in a tough game in Copenhagen 72-78. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-15. But Svendborg won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SISU made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for the former international guard Anders Haas (185-92, college: Barry) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Tanner McGrew (203-93, college: W.Virg.Wesl., agency: Duran International) contributed with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Darious Moten (199-92, college: Mercer) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Cameron Jones (193-93, college: Radford) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Svendborg. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SISU maintains seventh place with 2-6 record. Svendborg at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Randers. SISU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Svendborg will play on the road against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
