Regular Season Round 9: Stahnsdorf - Art.Dragons 73-77

Everything went according to plan in Stahnsdorf where fourth ranked Artland Dragons (6-3) beat 10th ranked RSV Eintracht (2-7) 77-73 on Saturday. American forward Gregory Graves (201-93, college: Mt.St.Mary's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valparaiso) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) with 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Antoine Myers (191-90, college: Troy) scored 16 points. RSV Eintracht's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Artland Dragons. They moved-up to second place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser RSV Eintracht dropped to the eleventh position with seven games lost. Artland Dragons will face Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RSV Eintracht will play against Rostock and hope to win that game.
