Regular Season Round 11: Phoenix Hagen - B.Muenchen 77-97

Bottom-ranked Phoenix Hagen (0-11) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to fourth ranked Bayern Muenchen (9-1) 97-77 on Saturday evening. Bayern Muenchen looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Phoenix Hagen's players. 26 personal fouls committed by Phoenix Hagen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American swingman Reggie Redding (195-88, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 assists. His fellow American import center Devin Booker (205-91, college: Clemson) helped adding 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian power forward Owen Klassen (208-91, college: Acadia) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard David Godbold (196-85, college: Oklahoma) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayern Muenchen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-1 record. Phoenix Hagen at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Bayern Muenchen are looking forward to face higher ranked BBC Bayreuth (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Phoenix Hagen will play against EnBW Ludwigsburg (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
