Eleventh-ranked Baunach (4-8) gave a tough game to first ranked Kirchheim Knights (11-1) on Saturday. Kirchheim Knights managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected much easier game. Kirchheim Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and center Andreas Kronhardt (205-89) who added 11 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Kirchheim Knights players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Leon Kratzer (210-97) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Lithuanian Arnoldas Kulboka (207-98) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Kirchheim Knights have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record, which they share with MBC. Baunach at the other side keeps the eleventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Nuernberg and Koeln Rh.Stars. Kirchheim Knights is looking forward to face Gladiators (#10) in Trier in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
