Regular Season Round 11: Horsens IC - Randers 105-86

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Horsens. Leader Horsens IC faced 3rd placed Randers. Host Horsens IC (9-0) smashed guests from Randers (6-5) 105-86. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Randers. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Randers was better in fourth quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Randers 50-30 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Lawrence Alexander (190-91, college: N.Dakota St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. International guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) contributed with 21 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (193-85) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Randers. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Horsens IC have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Randers at the other side keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Svendborg. Horsens IC will play against Horsholm (#5) on the road in the next round. Randers will play against SISU in Copenhagen and hope to get back on the winning track.
