Regular Season Round 13: Final Genclik - Sakarya BSB 67-91

TBL top team - Sakarya BSB (12-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventeenth ranked Final Genclik (3-10) in Bursa 91-67. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Final Genclik's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Center Hakan Yapar (202-84) stepped up and scored 13 points and 4 assists for the winners and American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) chipped in 15 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) responded with 21 points and forward Can Uzun (200-86) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakarya BSB have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Final Genclik at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Sakarya BSB will play against Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Final Genclik will play on the road against Akhisar Bld (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
