Regular Season Round 12: Schalke - Stahnsdorf 78-89

There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Schalke (6-6) was defeated at home by ninth ranked RSV Eintracht (4-8) 89-78 on Saturday. RSV Eintracht forced 19 Schalke turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Schalke was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Antoine Myers (191-90, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and naturalized Polish guard Tomasz Szewczyk (187-92) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Schalke's coach Raphael Wilder rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. RSV Eintracht maintains ninth position in North with 4-8 record, which they share with Rostock. Newly promoted Schalke keeps the sixth place with six games lost.
