Regular Season Round 13: Schwenningen - Stuttgart 98-54

Very expected game when 12th ranked Stuttgart (3-10) was smashed on the road by first ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (12-1) 98-54 on Saturday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Stuttgart's 32. BV Villingen-Schwenningen forced 22 Stuttgart turnovers and outrebounded them 42-27 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for Bosnian-Slovenian power forward Edin Alispahic (208-88) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 9 rebounds. Bulgarian swingman Sergey Tsvetkov (196-88, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Jonas Leidel (195-87) answered with 7 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin Milos Mandic (195-97) added 13 points in the effort for Stuttgart. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BV Villingen-Schwenningen maintains first place in South-West with 12-1 record. Stuttgart lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with ten games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Saarlouis/Dillingen (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
