The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Stade as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Stade defeated 11th ranked Wusterhausen at home 72-54. Stade forced 25 Wusterhausen turnovers and had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Mason Biddle (185-93, college: Western St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals. Spanish forward Damian Cortes Rey (194-96) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Stade's coach Nemo Weber used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Nico Draegert (208-90) answered with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Dmitrij Hasenkampf (193-86) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Wusterhausen. Four Wusterhausen players scored in double figures. Stade have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Wusterhausen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with six games lost. Wusterhausen will play next round against strong Sixers trying to get back on the winning streak. Stade will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Weser Bsk/BTS in Neustadt.
