An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Elchingen. First ranked Karlsruhe PS faced their biggest opponent Elchingen. Guests from Karlsruhe (11-2) defeated host Elchingen (9-3) 76-72. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Elchingen. Worth to mention a great performance of Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Jordan Talbert (198-91, college: Missouri So.) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Karlsruhe PS players scored in double figures. Canadian swingman Taevaunn Prince (191-91, college: Missouri So.) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Brian Butler (196-91) added 14 points in the effort for Elchingen. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Karlsruhe PS maintains first place in South with 11-2 record. Elchingen at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Karlsruhe PS will play against Giants (#12) in Noerdlingen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Elchingen will play on the road against BG Karlsruhe (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
