Regular Season Round 15: MBC - Uni Baskets 97-88

ProA top team - Mitteldeutscher BC (14-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Uni Baskets (7-8) in Weissenfels 97-88. Mitteldeutscher BC shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was a quality performance for naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). American point guard Marcus Hatten (185-80, college: St.John's) accounted for 18 points and 7 assists for the winning side. American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) came up with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and the other American import guard Matt Vest (195-92, college: Wright St.) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Uni Baskets in the defeat. Five Uni Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mitteldeutscher BC have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-1 record. Uni Baskets at the other side dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Koeln Rh.Stars. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#13) in Allmendingen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Uni Baskets will play at home against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
