Regular Season Round 9: Crnomelj - Parklji 80-73

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Parklji (3-6) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Crnomelj (3-6) 80-73 on Sunday. Parklji trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 21-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-80 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was guard Matic Lozar (183-92) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Nejc Butala (190-93) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Nejc Kobal (186-91) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Ziga Doljak (198-95) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Four Parklji players scored in double figures. Parklji's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Crnomelj moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Grosuplje and Parklji. Crnomelj will meet higher ranked Pingvini (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parklji will play against Plama Pur and hope to secure a win.
