Very important is a road loss of third ranked Istanbulspor (11-5) against seventeenth ranked Duzce Belediye (4-12) on Saturday night. Visiting Istanbulspor was defeated by Duzce Belediye in a tough game in Duzce 66-70. Worth to mention a great performance of American center LaRon Dendy (205-88, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and guard Genco Ozan Dilik (191-91) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Istanbulspor's coach Hakan Yavuz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Duzce Belediye moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Final Genclik and Mamak DSI. Istanbulspor at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Duzce Belediye will play against Final Genclik (#16) in Bursa in the next round. Istanbulspor will play at home against the league's second-placed Eskisehir Basket (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
