Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where second ranked Besiktas (10-2) beat 14th ranked Gaziantep (3-9) 67-60. They outrebounded Gaziantep 38-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Besiktas' coach Ufuk Sarica allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) added 14 points in the effort for Gaziantep. Besiktas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record behind leader Anadolu Efes, which they share with Fenerbahce. Gaziantep lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with nine games lost. Besiktas' next round opponent will be Trabzonspor (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Gaziantep will play against TED Kolejliler and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
