Regular Season Round 16: Mamak DSI - Sakarya BSB 52-78

TBL top team - Sakarya BSB (15-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Mamak DSI (4-12) in Ankara 78-52. Sakarya BSB forced 21 Mamak DSI turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Mamak DSI's players. The winners were led by American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) who scored that evening 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88) supported him with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Sakarya BSB's coach Burak Biyiktay felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-97) did not help to save the game for Mamak DSI. American power forward Arnett Moultrie (208-90, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Sakarya BSB have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Mamak DSI lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Duzce Bld. and Final Genclik. Sakarya BSB will meet at home Socar Petkim (#5) in the next round. Mamak DSI will play against Akhisar Bld (#10) and hope to secure a win.
