No shocking result in a game when second ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (12-3) won against at home 14th ranked Bielefeld (1-14) 87-70 on Saturday. SG Schwelmer Baskets forced 20 Bielefeld turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Julian Jasinski (201-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Mathias Perl (188-89) helped adding 11 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was guard Omar Zemhoute (190-91) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Bulgarian forward Juliy Arabadzhiyski (204-93) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for SG Schwelmer Baskets. They keep a position of West leader, which they share with Muenster and Hagen BG. Bielefeld lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face Salzkotten (#5) at home in the next round. Bielefeld will play against Herford (#7) and hope to win that game.
