Regular Season Round 27: Silute - Ezerunas-Karys 100-83

Very expected game when 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (5-21) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Silute (13-13) 100-83 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Silute. Ezerunas-Karys was better in second period 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Silute forced 22 Ezerunas-Karys turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ezerunas-Karys' players. It was a great evening for American guard Ulysses Thomas (190-92, college: Kentucky St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 assists. Center Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. Silute's coach Robertas Kuncaitis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was center Pranas Skurdauskas (208-88, agency: Interperformances) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Raimundas Ambrulaitis (200-82) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Silute moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Ezerunas-Karys lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom.
