Second Stage Round 1: Palanga - Ezerunas-Karys 91-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Ezerunas-Karys (5-22) was defeated on the road by Palanga (12-15) 91-83 on Friday. The game without a history. Palanga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Raijon Kelly (190-93, college: Angelo St.) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Aurimas Urbonas (198-93) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Pranas Skurdauskas (208-88, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Dovydas Giedraitis (185-0) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Palanga will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Delikatesas (#10) and hope to secure a win.
