Regular Season Round 16: Wusterhausen - Aschersleben 69-104

Not a big story in a game in Wildau where 11th ranked Wusterhausen (2-9) was rolled over by fourth ranked Aschersleben (6-4) 104-69 on Saturday. Aschersleben shot 60.7 percent from the field. They also forced 23 Wusterhausen turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian-Serbian power forward Ljubisa Markovic (212-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Slovenian guard Leon Dronjak (191-91) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Five Aschersleben players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Nico Draegert (208-90) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Noe Trenz (195-89) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aschersleben maintains fourth position in North with 6-4 record. Wusterhausen lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with nine games lost. Aschersleben will have a break next round. Wusterhausen will play on the road against Weser Bsk/BTS (#7) in Neustadt and hope to win that game.
