Second Stage Round 2: Silute - Telsiai 92-70

The most important game in the last round took place in Silute between Telsiai (19-9) and Silute (14-14) on Saturday night. Telsiai was crushed by Silute on the road 70-92. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-70. Silute made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. American guard Brian Wanamaker (185-89, college: Texas Wesleyan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The other American import guard Ulysses Thomas (190-92, college: Kentucky St.) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Wanamaker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Emilijus Gumuliauskas (195-85) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Tomas Domarkas (184-91) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Telsiai. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
