No shocking result in a game in Kyiv where second ranked Budivelnyk (17-4) defeated 6th ranked Cherkasy (9-11) 76-68 on Saturday. The game without a history. Budivelnyk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman Pavlo Krutous (196-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and naturalized Lithuanian center Michailis Anisimovas (214-84) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was naturalized Moldovan Andrii Kalnichenko (201-86) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Maksym Miroshnychenko (180-96) scored 7 points and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Budivelnyk have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 17-4 record having just two point less than leader Khimik. Loser Cherkasy keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cherkasy will play against VolinBasket (#10) and hope to secure a win.
