The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys' (7-23) road loss to twelfth ranked KTU (11-19) 70-76. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 28-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. KTU forced 20 Ezerunas-Karys turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Deividas Poguzinskas (202-95, college: High School) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 4 assists. Point guard Medas Kuprijanovas (195-96) contributed with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four KTU players scored in double figures. KTU's coach Vytautas Pliauga allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Laurynas Kirlys (191-93) replied with 30 points and 5 rebounds and guard Marius Pociukonis (189-82) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Ezerunas-Karys. KTU moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Delikatesas. Ezerunas-Karys at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. KTU will play against higher ranked Palanga (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Petrochema (#14) in Jonava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
