Regular Season Round 19: Hanau - Ehingen 78-73

No shocking result in a game in Hanau where sixth ranked White Wings (11-7) defeated 14th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (5-14) 78-73 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. White Wings shot 22 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Ehingen/Urspringschule only scored six points from the stripe. It was a great evening for American forward Kruize Pinkins (203-93, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) helped adding 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. At the losing side Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: Cal Poly Pomona) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) and American point guard Devon Moore (193-89, college: JMU) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Ehingen/Urspringschule's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. White Wings maintains sixth place with 11-7 record. Newly promoted Ehingen/Urspringschule keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with ETB Wohnbau. White Wings will meet at home Hamburg (#10) in the next round. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against Nuernberg (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
