No shocking result in a game in Bochum where fifth ranked AstroStars (10-6) defeated 7th ranked SC Rist Wedel (7-9) 81-72 on Sunday. AstroStars looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American point guard Gary Johnson (188-82, college: Cent.Florida) fired 22 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. The other American import forward Davon Roberts (197-86, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Steffen Kiese (190-87) produced 16 points and 5 assists and Lithuanian power forward Aurimas Adomaitis (205-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. SC Rist Wedel's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AstroStars moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Iserlohn. Loser SC Rist Wedel dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. AstroStars will face Itzehoe (#7) at home in the next round. SC Rist Wedel will play against the league's second-placed Artland Dragons and hope to win that game.
