There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Gaziantep (7-9) beat at home 8th ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (7-9) 78-71. Gaziantep players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds by American Anthony Gill (203-92, college: Virginia) did not help to save the game for Yesilgiresun Bld. American-Romanian point guard Malcolm Armstead (187-89, college: Wichita St., agency: BeoBasket) added 17 points and 7 assists for lost side. Gaziantep have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Tofas and Yesilgiresun. Gaziantep's next round opponent will be higher ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (#6) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
