No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Galatasaray (10-6) defeated on the road 15th ranked Balikesir (2-14) 78-72. Galatasaray shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. The winners were led by Uruguayan point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91, agency: Pro Sports) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American-Israeli center Alex Tyus (203-88, college: Florida) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) by American-Nigerian Ike Ofoegbu (205-84, college: SMU) did not help to save the game for Balikesir. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) added 18 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Galatasaray moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Balikesir lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Galatasaray's next round opponent will be Tofas (#10) in Bursa. Balikesir will play on the road against Demir IBB (#11) in Buyukcekmece and hope to win that game.
