Leader Sakarya BSB delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they crushed 12th ranked Pertevniyal (7-14) 97-55 in Istanbul. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Pertevniyal's 26. They outrebounded Pertevniyal 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) contributed with 22 points (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) for the winners. Forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Ege Arar (208-96) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pertevniyal. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakarya BSB maintains first place with 18-3 record, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Pertevniyal at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Yalova Bld and Gelisim. Sakarya BSB will play against Bursaspor (#5) at home in the next round. Pertevniyal will play against Akhisar Bld (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
