Very expected game in Baia Mare where 11th ranked Olimpic (1-18) was defeated by fifth ranked BC Timisoara (12-7) 86-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Timisoara. Olimpic was better in third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Timisoara forced 20 Olimpic turnovers. Olimpic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin power forward Milos Komatina (206-84) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and international point guard Octavian Calota (189-84) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. Serbian center Marko Pavlovic (210-86) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and Serbian guard Luka Pajkovic (190-92, college: Morehead St., agency: Alti Sport) scored 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. BC Timisoara have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Olimpic lost fifteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games. BC Timisoara will face higher ranked CSU Sibiu (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
