Regular Season Round 17: Yesilgiresun - Trabzonspor 81-80

A very interesting game took place in Giresun. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Trabzonspor (6-11) to ninth ranked Yesilgiresun Bld (8-9) 81-80 on Saturday evening. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was Anthony Gill (203-92, college: Virginia) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ricky Ledo (201-92, college: Providence) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Mississippi) produced 17 points and 8 assists and power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Yesilgiresun Bld and five Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. Yesilgiresun Bld moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gaziantep. Trabzonspor at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Yesilgiresun Bld's next round opponent will be league's leader Fenerbahce in Istanbul and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trabzonspor will play at home against Pinar Karsiyaka (#7) and hope to win that game.
