Regular Season Round 22: Randers - Bakken 69-103

The game in Randers supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Bakken (14-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Randers (9-13). Bakken smashed Randers 103-69. It looked good early as Randers took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bakken had a 23-19 second period charge getting the lead and Randers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-103. Bakken forced 26 Randers turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Randers' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Morten Sahlertz (198-89) contributed with 5 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American guard Deuce Bello (193-92, college: E.Tenn.St.) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and DR Congolese-Canadian forward Eric Kibi (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Randers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken maintains second position with 14-3 record having seven points less than leader Horsens IC. Randers at the other side keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Bakken's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (#8) at home where they are favorite. Randers will play against Horsholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
