There was a surprise result in Noerdlingen where twelfth ranked Giants (4-15) edged higher ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (8-11) 80-78 on Saturday. Giants looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Center Adrian Lind (206-94) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Leon Friederici (190-95) chipped in 21 points. Point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists and American forward Aaron Nelson (203-91, college: S.Indiana) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Giants and four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Giants maintains twelfth place in South with 4-15 record. Loser Dragons Rhoendorf keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Giants will face higher ranked Bayer Giants (#4) in Leverkusen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
