Regular Season Round 19: Stahnsdorf - Rostock 91-83

There was a minor upset in Stahnsdorf where 8th ranked Rostock (8-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked RSV Eintracht (6-13) 91-83 on Sunday. RSV Eintracht outrebounded Rostock 38-19 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for RSV Eintracht especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Rostock was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Colin Craven (185-94, college: Kirtland CC) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Jarvis Davis (183-91, college: Gardner-Webb) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Spanish center Daniel Lopez (206-86) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. RSV Eintracht maintains eleventh place in North with 6-13 record. Loser Rostock keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. RSV Eintracht will face higher ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
