Second Stage Round 6: Benfica B - Vasco 75-55

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Vasco (1-5) was smashed by fifth ranked Benfica B (2-3) in Lisboa 75-55. Benfica B outrebounded Vasco 54-32 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Carlos Salamanca (188-97) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Spanish forward Raul Fernandez (190-94) who recorded 11 points and forward Emanuel Vaz (188-92) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Benfica B maintains fifth position in Places 1-8 with 2-3 record. Vasco at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Benfica B's next round opponent will be Esgueira / Oli (#8) on the road. Vasco will play against Terceira and hope to win that game.
