Regular Season Round 19: Best Balikesir - Tofas 81-86

There was no surprise when 15th ranked Balikesir (3-16) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Tofas (9-10) 86-81 on Saturday. The former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. American forward Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 20 points. American point guard Randy Culpepper (183-89, college: UTEP, agency: Inception Sports) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Tofas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gaziantep. Balikesir at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Tofas will face league's second-placed Anadolu Efes in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Balikesir's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Balikesir to the arena Banvit.
