There was no surprise in Deisenhofen where 13th ranked Herzogenaurach (4-19) was defeated by seventh ranked Oberhaching (11-11) 80-70 on Sunday. Oberhaching outrebounded Herzogenaurach 40-22 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Herzogenaurach's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Frieder Diestelhorst (201-87) who added 19 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Matthew Meredith (194-0) with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Croatian point guard Vedran Nakic (184-89) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Oberhaching maintains seventh position in South-East with 11-11 record. Herzogenaurach lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 19 games lost. Oberhaching will face higher ranked Jena II (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
