Regular Season Round 28: Final Genclik - Istanbulspor 74-84

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Final Genclik (6-22) lost to seventh ranked Istanbulspor (18-10) in Bursa 74-84 on Friday. American players dominated also this game. Quite impressive performance for guard Elijah Johnson (192-90, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CS San Bernar.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) replied with 24 points and 7 rebounds and center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Final Genclik. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Istanbulspor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Acibadem. Final Genclik lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 22 games lost. Istanbulspor will face league's second-placed Sakarya BSB in Sakaraya in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Final Genclik will play on the road against Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara and hope to win that game.
