We should mention about the upset which took place in Nurnberg, where higher ranked Oettinger Rockets Gotha (15-13) lost to twelfth ranked Nuernberg (11-16) in a road game 66-79. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Nuernberg players scored in double figures. American point guard Darrel Mitchell (181-84, college: LSU, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 16 points and center Robert Oehle (209-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Oettinger Rockets Gotha. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nuernberg maintains twelfth position with 11-16 record.
