Bernau overcame Freeport SKY II in the decisive third game in the series. SSV Lok Bernau forced 21 Fraport Skyliners II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a quality performance for American guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: IPFW) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Tim Schneider (208-97) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four SSV Lok Bernau players scored in double figures. SSV Lok Bernau's coach Rene Schilling felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Isaac Bonga (203-99) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Travis Thompson (185-91, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 14 points respectively for Fraport Skyliners II in the defeat.
