Regular Season Round 27: Bayreuth II - Coburg 75-79

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Coburg (23-2) beat on the road 14th ranked Bayreuth 2 (3-22) 79-75 on Saturday. Coburg made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Burris (201-92, college: CS San Bernar.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Steffen Walde (190-92) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds. Coburg's coach Simon Bertram used entire bench in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Julius Seither (203-94) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Philipp Johannes (192-94) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Five Bayreuth 2 players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Coburg maintains first place in South-East with 23-2 record. Bayreuth 2 lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 22 games lost. Coburg will face Oberhaching (#8) in Deisenhofen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bayreuth 2 will play on the road against Bad Aibling (#4) and hope to win that game.
