Regular Season Round 24: Anadolu Efes - Gaziantep 84-96

The most important game in the last round took place in Istanbul between second ranked Anadolu Efes (21-3) and eighth ranked Gaziantep (12-12) on Sunday night. Anadolu Efes was defeated by Gaziantep at home 96-84. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Anadolu Efes. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Marcus Denmon (191-90, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) who added 25 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was French guard Thomas Heurtel (189-89, agency: BeoBasket) with 26 points and 9 assists and American-Armenian center Bryant Dunston (203-86) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Gaziantep maintains eighth position with 12-12 record. Anadolu Efes at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Gaziantep are looking forward to face Trabzonspor (#12) at home in the next round. Anadolu Efes will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
