Semi-Finals Game 1: Bakken - Svendborg 95-79

Bakken cruised past Svendborg in the opener. It looked good early as Svendborg took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bakken had a 28-18 second period charge getting the lead and Svendborg was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-95. Bakken forced 20 Svendborg turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Svendborg's players. American-Trinidad and Tobago guard Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) nailed 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Senegalese center Michel Diouf (208-89) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. Argentinian-Italian point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Svendborg in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
