The game in Prienai was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Juventus (16-14) played at the court of sixth ranked Vytautas (16-14). Vytautas managed to secure a 8-point victory 95-87 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Juventus won fourth quarter 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Regimantas Miniotas (206-96) scored 25 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Vytenis Cizauskas (187-92) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Vytautas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Vaidas Cepukaitis (207-89, agency: Interperformances) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and guard Vytautas Sulskis (200-88, college: Youngstown St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Juventus. Vytautas will meet league's leader Zalgiris in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Juventus will play against Lietkabelis (#3) in Panevezys and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
