Very expected game in Lviv where 6th ranked Azovmash (8-14) was crushed by second ranked Politekhn.Lvov (14-8) 85-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Politekhn.Lvov. Azovmash managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Politekhn.Lvov dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Azovmash's 40. Politekhn.Lvov forced 24 Azovmash turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Maksym Tiutiunyk (190-92) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Denys Tiutiunyk (195-92) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Politekhn.Lvov. They maintain second place with 14-8 record having just two point less than leader Dnipro-2, which they share with Khimik-2. Azovmash lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
