Quarter-Finals Round 3: MBC - Koeln Rh.Stars 97-68

MBC rallied past Koeln at home court to secure their semifinal birth. Mitteldeutscher BC dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Koeln Rh.Stars' 22. They outrebounded Koeln Rh.Stars 42-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. Mitteldeutscher BC players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Andrew Warren (196-87, college: Bradley, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. American-Cypriot power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL) answered with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Koeln Rh.Stars. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
