BSL top team - Fenerbahce (24-2) added another victory to their record on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Gaziantep (13-13) in Istanbul 97-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gaziantep. Fenerbahce made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Gaziantep turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Gaziantep helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Serbian swingman Bogdan Bogdanovic (198-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Czech power forward Jan Vesely (213-90) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) replied with 25 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) added 20 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Gaziantep. Four Fenerbahce and five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 24-2 record. Gaziantep at the other side keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. Fenerbahce are looking forward to face Trabzonspor (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gaziantep will play against Besiktas (#3) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
